Top Picks For 2021 Winter Anime Season From Team Imouri and Friends

It's that time of year again! The 2021 Winter Anime Season is here. This season's lineup, I have to say, is fantastic. A lot of fan-favorite shows are coming back for a second season. We even have some season 2 shows continuing as well. I wanted to know what Team Imouri and Friends top anime they were looking forward to this winter season with such a vast lineup. Is the Hero a Zero?

Ryan, Imouri's founder, is looking forward to watching Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World's Second Season, 2nd Cour. Ryan has been a long time fan of the Re:Zero series, and this winter season is no different. Re:Zero is a popular anime throughout the community. Most anime lovers have heard of or watched this serious before. This isekai series is about a teen who has the worse luck, in my opinion, as he gets sent to another world randomly out of the blue one day. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you give it a watch.

Dinner with the Children or Dinner IS the Children

One of Team Imouri's friends can't wait to see The Promised Never Land, Season 2. This team member prefers exciting, thrilling anime with a twist. Well, The Promised Never Land is one of those. This dark fantasy thriller is about kids in an orphanage whose fate is not what they expected. If you are looking for something different and you like dark fantasy, I would recommend The Promised Neverland.

Slimes are the Weakest Enemy in Video Games...Or Maybe Not

Another one of Team Imouri's friends is looking forward to that hit isekai anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Second Season. Imagine one of the most pathetic enemies in a JRPG video game being the most overpowered beings ever. Well, that's this anime. This is your typical I was killed or died and was reincarnated in another world with powers and has some divine protection or help. The anime is quite good, and I would give it a go if you haven't seen it yet.

Cozy Goodness and Delicious Food

Another Team Imouri friend is looking forward to watching Yuru Camp (Laid Back Camp) Season 2. Yuru Camp is all about relaxing and just enjoying nature. It's a feel-good slice of life anime focused around camping. The series also helps teach you camping tips and tricks and does a great job of inspiring the viewer to try camping. 5 is Better than 1, Always

As for me, the anime series I'm looking forward to the most this season is The Quintessential Quintuplets Season 2. The Quintessential Quintuplets is a harem style, romantic comedy type anime. Seriously, I don't know why the series has captured my heart so much. I love all the characters. The story centers around the 5 Nakano quintuplets and their tutor as they struggle to get better grades while dealing with their personal feelings. If you're into rom coms and harems, then this anime will be to your liking.

Excitement for the Winter Season

There are just some many anime to watch this season, both continuations and brand new series. It's sometimes hard to pick a favorite or atop one to watch.
